Super Eagles striker, Obafemi Martins, has been voted Seattle Sounders
best player for the second consecutive season.
The former Inter Milan striker also won the club’s Golden Boot award
after netting 15 times to emerge the Major League Soccer side’s top
scorer for the season.
Asiide scoring from vital goals for Sounders, Martin also notched up six
assists in 21 appearances for the club despite spending two months out
injured.
Obafemi's stunning rise to prominence in American
soccer has earned him a place in the Super Eagles squad with coach
Sunday Oliseh playing him in Nigeria's last two World Cup qualifier
matches.
"Humbled again to be named team MVP. However, all credit due to my
teammates and coaches. Already focusing on 2016," Martins wrote on
Twitter.
