Andre Ayew, Yaya Toure and 3 others nominated for BBC African footballer of the year award

Swansea City forward Andre Ayew was on Saturday morning named as one of five players shortlisted for the prestigious 2015 BBC African Footballer of the Year award and this year it seems he is the overwhelming favorite for the award. Algeria's Yacine Brahimi, the 2014 winner, is on the shortlist along with Gabon's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ghanaian Andre Ayew, Senegal's Sadio Mane and Yaya Toure of Ivory Coast.

The winner will be decided by African football fans, who have until 18:00 GMT on 30 November to vote for their choice. Andre Ayew won the award in 2011 with Yaya Toure also winning it in 2013.

The eventual winner will be announced on December 11 2015.

Rick Ross and Lira Galore seem to be back together

Seems like Rick Ross and Lira Galore are back together. She showed off her engagement ring back on her finger on her Snapchat account with Rick Ross' hand in-between her thighs and captioned it "Queen". People think he 'broke off' the engagement for a publicity stunt to increase his album sale.

One of the armed robbers terrorizing VGC Estate in Lagos was caught in the early hours of this morning. The robber and his gang came to rob a house on Road 53, but were unsuccessful as armed guards opened fire. One escaped with bullet wounds while this one was caught hiding inside a drainage. Kogi PDP chieftain kidnapped

A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Kogi State, Adamu Enape, has been kidnapped by gunmen.

Enape, who is a member of the Kogi State Pension Board, was kidnapped on his way back from the governorship campaign tour of Idah in the Kogi-East senatorial district.

The spokesperson for the party in the state, Bode Ogunmola confirmed the incident but the Police Public Relations Officer, Kogi police command, William Aya, says he doesn't know anything about it.

Men of the Nigeria Police in Nasarawa State command have arrested a 46 year-old pastor, Ifeanyi Bernard, for allegedly raping a female student in the Karu Local Government Area, close to Abuja.

According to police authorities, the alleged rape took place on November 3 when the pastor was performing some kind of deliverance on the girl who is still a teenager.
