Are you ready for a Rain 2015 collection?
Emerging Nigerian menswear design label, Josh Amor by Ayobamidele Josh Majekodunmi, presents “Noir” (French word for Black), its debut collection which draws inspiration from Kanye West and Natalie Portman‘s character in ‘Black Swan’. The collection is aimed at being proof that black has an entire world of opposites and can be interpreted in many ways.
According to Josh – “While Black can be described as a portmanteau of distilled moods and emotions with no moral definition, its ambiguity is still as mysterious as the existence of the world itself.” He also sees this collection as the way to show how black is related to the dual nature of man’s personality, and how it is the best medium to express the duality.

Married Woman kills herself bcos her Boyfriend fail to Marry her
Ladies, no man can love you more than your husband. If you are not getting his love, discuss it with him in humility, things could change. But if you think otherwise, go try another man and see how it goes.
I hope you remember the case of that married lady who was said to have died in her secret lover's custody in a suburb of Lagos recently? Well, there are new updates to the very shameful saga.
A suicide note the late married woman wrote has been found in the room...
Late Mrs. Joy Bakare, who left her husband over disagreements had delivered a set of twins for her secret lover, Fatai Rafiu. It was earlier reported that she died days after giving birth to the twins, not knowing that Mrs Joy actually took her own life.
According to what she wrote before killing herself, she thought that her lover, Fatai, would marry her, most especially because she left her husband for him. But after sleeping with her and impregnated her, Fatai refused to fulfill all the sweet promises he made to her and no way to go back to her husband.
In her suicide note, the late Mrs. Joy expressed her disappointment and frustration after she became pregnant and delivered the babies for her secret lover.
She stated that she was abandoned by her lover after she became pregnant and delivered the twins.
It was learnt that she complained to neighbours that she had hoped Fatai would marry her after she left her husband because of him. But that did not happen as she later discovered that Rafiu was married and had children, and he could not rent an apartment for her even after she had the babies.
According to PM News, she already had three children with her husband who resides in Sururere area before she became pregnant for Fatai through their secret affair.
Late Joy's husband have refused to speak on the matter as his wife has got what she was looking for.
Woman bites off Daughter’s Ear for Sleeping with Her Boyfriend in Delta State
Wahala dey o! A polyandrous housewife identified as Chiekube Igbinosa in Akumazi community of Delta State, was said to have bit off her daughter’s ear and stabbed her for doing things with her boyfriend.
In what looks like a ferry tale, the case of the seed of discord between the housewife and the daughter over boyfriend, it was reliably gathered, was borne out of evil intentions, especially with the circumstances that are said to be surrounding the shameful incident.
Sources said the fight which led the mother biting off a scoopful of flesh from the daughter’s ear, took place around camp 74 behind Ibori Golf course within Asaba campus of the Delta State University.
The 46-year-old woman is the secret lover of an Ibo trader who was deported to Nigeria three years ago from Spain, but he allegedly hoodwinked the woman’s daughter into a relationship.
The daughter in question had recently graduated from a university in the South-south region and is on her visit to the mother after her Youth Service in Rivers State.
While their love relationship blossoms, the unsuspecting mother who is a secondary school vice principal, was said to have showered her lover boy with gifts, including part of her monthly salaries.[Read More…]
But this was not to be when the daughter identified as Mabel Igbinosa flippantly opened up to her friend her relationship with the Igbo man who is building materials trader, including how he made love to her in marathon exercise.
According to Leadership, this placed the mother on red alert including watchful eye after the friend secretly let out the discussion to her.
The mother decided to visit the Igbo man’s house wearing unsuspecting appearance around Okwe Quarters, Asaba. The daughter sighted her mum and ran into a neighbour’s room to hide.
Sources say the mum too entered a nearby neighbour’s room and laid siege for her daughter to come out.
After enjoying herself with her mother's boyfriend, the girl left his house, unknown to her that the mother was still around. She immediately pounced on her, bit off her ear before stabbing her with a bottle.
Men from Delta State Police have arrested the mother, daughter and the randy lover boy. What a shame!

AMEH ESTHER- A New Era of Fashion
Step into a world of exotic fashion, with a range of high trendy collections that provides clients with better contemporary options. Located at the Lambogini House Lekki, the Esther Fashion House berths with a brick and mortar fashion showroom and a digital online store. The London-based brand, run by Nigerian Entrepreneur Esther, champions feminism and the handmade sensibility of nineteenth century intricate and bespoke tailoring.
With a penchant for lavish textiles and ornate detailing, Esther exudes an innate sense of style, poetry, femininity and opulence; together becoming Esther’s signature. Each silhouette, crafted by self-acclaimed ‘fashion sculptor’ Esther, is an eccentric display of cut and proportion reminiscent of the Esty era.
With each piece handmade in London, Esther describes her process of creation as resembling the art of sculpture, as opposed to fashion design.
Sculpting fabrics onto the female form, Esther’s eponymous label looks to the past to create a new era of fashion, an era that not only introduces a new style of fashion for women, but also a new system of fashion entirely.
Each silhouette is created as part of a small capsule collection called ‘Octettes’, a new fashion term coined by Esther that derives from one of the Victorian era’s most iconic fashion items – the corset, which creates an hourglass figure-8 shape..
At Esher’s Private Showroom in Lagos, Esther displays her signature style inspired by the opulence and eccentricity of Victorian couture tailoring proposed for cocktail dresses, evening gowns and bridal wear; alongside party separates and the ‘E-SMA’ accessories line (for both men and women) inspired by Prince Ndudi (C.A) . On the opposite end of the style-spectrum,
Esther explores another branch of Esty tailoring that was once reserved only for menswear.
The art of bespoke traditional British tailoring revolutionised the way men dress in the nineteenth century and found a permanent home on London’s Savile Row. Men’s suits were, and continue to be, tailored by skilled craftsmen handmade exclusively to each man’s individual style, taste and size.
Esther adopts this tradition of British tailoring with sister label Femme De Rose, where women can design their own classic wardrobe staples to their own style and taste using Eyola’s online virtual design companion. The finished design is handmade in London by skilled craftsmen, following the art of traditional Savile Row tailoring, and then shipped to your doorstep.

Beyonce to lead expanded anti-poverty concert
Beyonce and Pearl Jam will headline the Global Citizen Festival in New York, which for the first time will broadcast internationally as organizers seek to expand its anti-poverty message. Other performers at the September 26 show in Central Park will include Coldplay, whose frontman Chris Martin has signed on to a long-term role in arranging the festival, and English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, who previously announced his participation.

Launched in 2012, the annual concert coinciding with the UN General Assembly is free for fans who commit to actions aimed at eradicating extreme poverty. Beyonce will be playing one of only two announced shows since the pop superstar ended a world tour last year.
This year’s festival “is especially rewarding as we all join focuses and utilize our talents for one goal: to end extreme poverty globally,” Beyonce said in a statement released Thursday.
The festival, which in the past has been broadcast only in the United States by MSNBC, will aim to reach a worldwide audience through a YouTube livestream, among other broadcast plans.
Beyonce was a surprise performer at last year’s festival during a set by her husband, rapper Jay Z. Another unexpected guest was Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who vowed to improve sanitation for his nation’s poorest.
Leaders of the Global Poverty Project, which spearheads the event, recently traveled to India to meet Modi and discuss collaboration with Indian stars, said Hugh Evans, its chief executive.
Seeking commitments on poverty
The concert will come a day after the United Nations is expected to announce new targets at the end of a 15-year global push against poverty known as the Millennium Development Goals. “The stakes are a lot higher than any previous year,” Evans told AFP.
“There is a huge focus this year on ensuring these new goals are not just a nice wish list for development but are fully financed, and that we actually have the means to ensure that these goals are achieved,” he said.
One goal of the campaign is to ensure that most assistance goes to the world’s poorest. Only 32 percent of US foreign aid goes to least developed countries, according to a recent study. The festival will also seek firm commitments on funding for sanitation, food security and education.
Teenage Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai, who was shot in 2012 for her support of education for girls in Pakistan, on Tuesday urged world leaders to give all children access to 12 years of free education. The cost, she told a forum in Oslo, would be $39 billion — which she described as the equivalent of eight days of global military spending.
The United Nations points to substantial progress in the 15 years since establishing the Millennium Development Goals. Some 836 million people live in extreme poverty, down from 1.9 billion in 1990, and tens of millions of lives have been saved through disease prevention efforts, according to a UN progress report.
But it pointed to persistent problems, including out-of-school children, gender disparities and rising water scarcities which affect 40 percent of the world’s people. The concert aims to put development high on the agenda with young people, at a time of a myriad global crises from Syria to Ukraine and economic uncertainties in China and the eurozone.
Tickets for the concert will be earned by actions against poverty that include calling government offices and, for the first time this year, volunteering. The festival has generated 2.3 million such actions since 2012, organizers said.

It is an avenue to display my talent and skill and an opportunity to fulfill purpose.”
In order for music to yield profit to stakeholders especially with industry seeing new talents popping up timelessly, Jefe advised that the government should create the enabling laws needed in the creative industry to aid and safeguard artistes from piracy.
