Owan December thinz! Armed robbers numbering about 40 stormed four commercial banks in the Agbara area of Ogun, close to Lagos, on Thursday afternoon killing a nursing mother and two policemen, including a corporal identified as Kadiri Aliyu.

The robbers stormed Bank Road, Agbara Estate, around 8.30am and reportedly carted away millions of naira from Zenith Bank. It was learnt that the robbers gained entry into the bank after blowing up the bank’s rotor doors with dynamites.

A customary court in Ile-Ife, Osun State, on Thursday dissolved the six-year old marriage between Sunday Adelakun and his estranged wife, Rasidat, over her adulterous acts and gross arrogance.

The husband, had on November 2, urged the court to dissolve the union due to fornication, uncooperative attitude, pride and constant fighting.

Boko Haram Attacked Us But No Soldier Is Missing – Military

The top hierarchy of the troops combating Boko Haram in North East Nigeria denied media reports that some 105 soldiers of the country’s army went missing after a battle with terrorists in Borno State.

Theater commander of the Lafiya Dole counter-insurgency operation, Major General Yushau Abubakar, said though troops of the 157 Battalion in border communities of Borno had recently come under heavy attacks from Boko Haram, he had not received any reports from field commanders that soldiers numbering up to 105 soldiers were unaccounted for.

Fogle, 38, sought leniency, apologizing to his victims and telling the court in a tearful statement that he was raised with good values by a good family, but succumbed to self-centred "deception and lies." He said he wished he had realized long ago that he had a problem.

"I had become dependent on alcohol, pornography and prostitutes," he told the judge. "I want to redeem my life. I want to become a good, decent person. I want to rebuild my life."

Judge Tanya Walton Pratt wasn't swayed, though, and gave him a harsher sentence than the 12 1/2 years that prosecutors had sought. She also ordered him to submit to a lifetime of post-prison supervision and fined him $175,000.

Clashes as Ethiopian Israelis protest against police brutality in Tel Aviv

Police on horseback charged hundreds of ethnic Ethiopian citizens in central Tel Aviv on Sunday as an anti-racism protest descended into one of the most violent demonstrations in Israel's commercial capital in years.

The protesters, Israeli Jews of Ethiopian origin, were demonstrating against what they say is police brutality after the emergence last week of a video clip that showed policemen shoving and punching a black soldier.
