Buhari Pleads With APC To Unite, Tinubu Reacts

President Muhammadu ‎Buhari has appealed to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to drop their differences and their influences both in the party and the country in order for the party to achieve its campaigns manifestos. ‎President Buhari hosted the party leadership at the new Banquet Hall at the Presidential Villa on Tuesday. He recalled how the party surmounted many obstacles to emerge strong enough to dislodge the PDP, urging that it was important for the members to lay aside their differences and unite for the sake of the country. He reminded them of the need to address the challenges of security, economy, employment and corruption. “If we don’t kill corruption, corruption will kill Nigeria,” he said. In the same vein, the leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu has thrown away the remarks from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that the Buhari administration is too slow, saying the government cannot clean the 16-years ‎mess of the PDP in 30 days. The former Lagos State Governor, in his speech, described the APC as the armoured personnel carrier, saying it represented the diversity of Nigeria. He thanked President Buhari for the opportunity of breaking fast with him and bringing together people from various backgrounds regardless of religious affiliations.
